What do you think happened to her? She was one of the main characters of the show for the first 2 years, but then she just vanished.
She gets fired and angel saves after she tries to kill herself. But then she tells him that she never invited him in. Does this mean that she really did die, and came back as a sort of ghost? Or that the invitation rule was lifted by some higher power? If so, it was probably the powers that be, though I can't see why they would save her, unless she was supposed to fulfill some purpose later on.

It's interesting to think about what might have happened to Kate - I have to admit I was never very fond of the character (didn't hate her, but she was the weakest link in the first 2 Seasons). Her disappearance after Epiphany was a little abrupt, but I'll confess I never really missed her. Still, the ending arc with her suicide attempt was the perfect way of underlining Angel's ultimate change - from not even caring to stepping in and saving her life (plus, the tonal shift was needed - in Reprise we learn that there is no big evil force to defeat, just human malice, which will last forever; Epiphany suggests that maybe we are being watched over/protected by something good, which is nice). I'm not sure if Kate's being saved meant she had any ultimate purpose, but it is a nice way of suggesting that maybe we aren't alone.

I liked Kate i thought she was an interesting character, she was a pefect contact for Angel when he needed to get some work done during the day, which he odviously couldn't do himself.

He seemed to get along fine without her after she left.
